Many of these opportunities offer stipends, free equipment, or college credits—so you can gain valuable experience while being supported financially.

The Ellis Trust supports 9th-12th grade female students. Covers tutoring, tech classes, summer camps, and school supplies.
HBCU College Fair
26th Annual Malcolm Bernard HBCU Fair on November 19, 2025. Meet representatives from Historically Black Colleges. Location: Martin Luther King High School, 3:30-7:00 PM. Registration required.
Free Rowing Program
Philadelphia Rowing offers free high school training. Build teamwork and fitness skills on the water.
Life Skills & Horse Training
PeerTalks x Work to Ride meets twice weekly. Ages 12-18 learn riding, barn care, and life skills. Mondays and Wednesdays.
Skilled Trades Training
Home Depot Path to Pro offers free online courses. Learn carpentry, plumbing, electrical work. Build a career in trades.

ASPIRE Nursing Program
For 11th graders at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Interactive experiences introduce you to nursing. Earn a $500 stipend. TOMORROW Apply by November 7.

Junior MANRRS Ambassador
For 12th graders passionate about the environment. Fox Chase Farm offers Green Career Exposure. Serve as an earth steward. Deadline: November 15.

STEM Scholars Program
For 9th graders. Hands-on workshops and industry exposure. SAT prep and entrepreneurial experiences. Apply by November 13.
FLi Sci Scholars
Virtual fellowship for science enthusiasts. Weekly sessions explore various topics. Lead your own research project. Deadline: December 15.
Penn Engineering Academy
Three-week residential program at UPenn. Hands-on projects and faculty interaction. For all high schoolers. Apply by February 28, 2026.

Bioengineering Design Workshop

Technical training and internship placement. Emphasis on Black, Brown, and female trainees. Build real-world tech skills. Learn more.
Urban Technology Project
SDP's IT apprenticeship program. Careers in software development and digital media. For underrepresented individuals. Explore opportunities.
Per Scholas
No-cost training in Center City. Careers in tech with career coaching. National program with local location. Apply by November 24.
Interested in Civil Justice?
Make a difference in your community. These programs focus on civic engagement, social justice, and leadership development for young changemakers.
TurnUP Campus Fellows
Earn $100 registering students to vote. Work 2-4 hours over two weeks. Help expand civic participation on campus. Rolling admissions.
Teen Warrior Council
Youth leadership for sexual violence prevention. Biweekly meetings across Philadelphia. Promote healthy relationships and consent culture. Join anytime.
Rhizome Fellowship
For middle and high schoolers. Hands-on civic service program. Build connections and revitalize democracy. Create a healthier future. Rolling admissions.
Fall Internship Deadlines

Nautilus Live offers at-sea experience. For students in ocean sciences and technology. Community college to graduate level.

Interested in Education?
Explore careers in teaching, counseling, and education policy. These programs provide mentorship, dual enrollment credits, and college preparation for future educators.
Temple Education Scholars
For 10th grade men of color. Rising 11th graders receive dedicated mentorship. Fifteen dual enrollment credits available. Info session with Dr. Johnson on Monday, November 10 at 2PM. Learn more.
Penn State SCOPE Program 2026
For 10th graders from diverse backgrounds. Experience college life at University Park campus. Earn college credit. Explore teaching, counseling, special education, and policy. Apply by January 26, 2026.

Special opportunities for 11th graders! These competitive programs offer residential experiences, SAT/ACT prep, and comprehensive college support completely free.
LEDA Summer Program
Five-week residential program at Princeton and Yale. Academic preparation and leadership training. SAT/ACT prep and college guidance. Completely free. Apply by December 10.
Thrive Scholars
Six-year high-touch program. Graduate college with little to no debt. Access to high-earning jobs. Build generational wealth. Apply now.
Free Test Prep Access
UWorld offers free SAT and ACT practice exams. Prepare effectively for college entrance tests.
UPenn Campus Visit
November 19th - Interested in the University of Pennsylvania? Students with 3.5+ GPA can join our trip. Visit Ms. Williams in room 127 for a permission slip.
Senior Scholarships
Financial support for college is available! These scholarships provide funding to help you achieve your educational dreams without overwhelming debt.
Dell Scholarships
Comprehensive scholarship program for students demonstrating determination to succeed. Support for college expenses and technology needs. Apply by December 12, 2025.
National Council of Negro Women
Scholarship supporting African American women pursuing higher education. Financial assistance and mentorship opportunities. Apply by March 1, 2026.
Green Family Foundation
Samuel A. Green Scholarship for outstanding students. Merit-based award for educational achievement. Deadline: March 1, 2026.
TSU-Meharry Medical Scholarship
Full medical scholarship for Black male seniors. Attend TSU for 3 years, then Meharry Medical College. Complete program in 7 years. Requirements: 28 ACT, 3.5 GPA. Email: [email protected].
